Base Oil

We use Group III base oil for all our mineral multi-grades as it is the best grade of petroleum base oil, since they are fully produced by Hydrocracking, which make these oils purer. This group is described as Synthetic Technology oils or Hydro-Cracked Synthetic oil.

API defines group III as “base stocks contain greater than or equal to 90 percent saturates and less than or equal to 0.03 percent sulfur and have a viscosity index greater than or equal to 120”.

Group III base oils are subjected to the highest level of mineral oil refining of the base oil groups. They offer good performance in a wide range of attributes as well as good molecular uniformity and stability. They are commonly mixed with additives and marketed as synthetic or semi-synthetic products.

We use Group IV base oil for all our synthetic oils as it is made of Poly-alpha-olfiens PAO.

Poly-alpha-olfiens PAO oils are much more stable in extreme temperatures, which make much more suitable for use in very cold weather (as found in northern Europe) as well as very hot weather (as in Middle East).

Group IV base oils are chemically engineered synthetic base stocks. Polyalphaolefins (PAO’s) are a common example of a synthetic base stock. Synthetics, when combined with additives, offer excellent performance over a wide range of lubricating properties. They have very stable chemical compositions and highly uniform molecular chains. Group IV base oils are becoming more common in synthetic and synthetic-blend products for automotive and industrial applications.

We have the formulation to use Group V base oils which includes, among others, naphthenic oils and esters.

Group V base oils are used primarily in the creation of oil additives. Esters and polyolesters are both common Group V base oils used in the formulation of oil additives. Group V oils are generally not used as base oils themselves, but add beneficial properties to other base oils.

 

Highly Conductive Polarized Molecule (CPM)

CPM is a polarizing synthesis technology applied to form powerful highly charged molecules that can be strongly attracted to metal. The result is an increase in lubricity (without affecting the viscosity and particulates) that reduces mechanical friction between moving parts, reduces noises and extends engine life. It also helps form a protection film mechanism that can withstand extreme pressure and provide high anti-corrosion properties.

 

ZDDP (Zinc dialkyldithiophosphates)

An Extreme Pressure Agent used for additional protection under extreme-pressure conditions or in heavy duty performance situations. Also acts as a corrosion inhibitor and antioxidant. Excellent anti-wear additive to prevent metal-to-metal contact.

 

TCP (Tricresyl phosphate)

TCP is used as an excellent Anti-Wear and Extreme Pressure Additive for high-temperature operations.

 

Proprietary Additives

Beside ZDDP and TCP, we utilize proprietary additives and formulations for:

  1. Improving Viscosity Index (VI)
  2. Improving Lubricity
  3. Anti-foam agents to prevent or reduce the formation of air bubbles and foam in our oils which can cause a loss of lubrication, pitting, and corrosion where entrained air and combustion gases contact metal surfaces.
  4. Dispersants to keep contaminants suspended in the oil to prevent them from coagulating. This will ease the process to remove the unwanted contaminants during oil change.
  5. Conditioners to prevent gaskets and seals from swelling which causes oil leakages.
